Tadipatri witnessed high tension on Saturday as former YSRCP MLA Kethireddy Pedda Reddy returned after 15 months. He started his journey from Thimmanpalli and reached Tadipatri under strict police escort. Following Supreme Court directions, Anantapur SP Jagadish deployed nearly 700 police personnel to maintain peace and order.
Officials imposed strict restrictions on Pedda Reddy. He was warned against making provocative remarks or taking part in any activity that could spark violence. In response, Pedda Reddy assured that he would respect the rules and cooperate with the authorities.
Police also increased security around the residence of his political rival, JC Prabhakar Reddy, to prevent possible clashes between supporters. With a long history of rivalry in the region, authorities are closely monitoring every move.
The return of Pedda Reddy has revived political tension in Tadipatri, and law enforcement remains on high alert to prevent unrest.
