Police lathi-charge on protesting teacher candidates during BPSC TRE 4 protests in Patna.

Dreaded criminal Lali Yadav shot dead in Bihar’s Siwan district has created shockwaves across the region. The incident happened on Monday evening at Chainpur Bazaar, barely 100 meters from the police station. Eyewitnesses said three armed assailants on motorcycles opened fire near Shiv Panch Mandir Chowk around 7:30 PM.

Lali Yadav, standing at the spot, was hit by six bullets and collapsed on the ground. Shockingly, the attackers checked his body to confirm his death before fleeing. The incident caused chaos in the busy market as shopkeepers quickly shut their stores in fear.

Police teams, led by Siwan SP Manoj Tiwari, rushed to the crime scene. Authorities revealed that Lali Yadav, aged 40–45, was facing several criminal cases across Siwan and Saran districts. He had recently been released on bail, which raises suspicions about a revenge motive behind the killing.

Preliminary investigations suggest personal rivalry could be the reason. The brazen murder just steps away from the police station has sparked panic among locals. A search operation is underway to track down the shooters.

The brutal way in which Lali Yadav shot dead has once again highlighted the law-and-order challenge in Bihar.
