Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said the waiver of debt for marginal and small farmers is under active consideration of the state government.
He shared this assurance with Punjabi singer Mankirat Aulakh during a hospital visit in Mohali. Aulakh has been undergoing treatment since September 5, 2025.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is looking at possible measures to provide relief to struggling small and marginal farmers. He emphasized that farmer welfare remains a top priority.
Mankirat Aulakh appreciated the CM’s concern and expressed hope that such steps will help farmers overcome their financial burden. The move, if finalized, will bring significant relief to Punjab’s agricultural community.
