India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak has made it clear that the team is concentrating solely on cricket as the high-voltage India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match draws near.
Speaking at India’s training camp in Dubai on Friday, Kotak said, “Once the BCCI took the call, our focus stayed on cricket. India versus Pakistan is always competitive, and we are ready.” He underlined that the squad remains unaffected by political tensions after the Pahalgam attack and India’s Operation Sindoor.
Calls to boycott Pakistan had grown louder in recent weeks, but the government’s revised policy allows fixtures only in multinational tournaments such as the Asia Cup and ICC events. Kotak emphasized that the players know their objectives well and will treat the contest as another on-field challenge.
India will step in with Suryakumar Yadav leading the T20 side, while Pakistan arrive under pressure after dropping senior names Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. With both sides preparing intensely, fans worldwide await Sunday’s marquee clash in Dubai.
