A.P. CM tells officials to expedite NH projects and remove delays in execution during a high-level review meeting in Vijayawada .The Chief Minister said A.P. CM tells officials to expedite NH projects to boost connectivity, support industry, and improve road safety across the State.

He reviewed national highway works worth ₹1.40 lakh crore that are under different stages of planning and construction. The CM asked departments to coordinate closely with the National Highways Authority of India and resolve land and clearance issues quickly.

The Chief Minister directed officials to prepare detailed plans to upgrade major two-lane highways into four-lane and six-lane corridors. He said wider roads would cut travel time, reduce accidents, and help farmers and businesses move goods faster.

Officials informed the CM that projects worth ₹42,194 crore are currently in progress. The government aims to complete these works by the end of 2027. The CM stressed strict timelines and regular monitoring to avoid cost overruns.

He also asked officers to ensure quality standards at every stage. The CM said poor workmanship would not be tolerated and warned that delays would invite accountability.

The State government believes faster highway development will attract new investments, create jobs, and strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s growth momentum.
