A.P. Police Get 5,757 New Constables; Government Hikes Monthly Training Stipend
A total of 5,757 constables were inducted into the Andhra Pradesh Police on Monday, marking a significant step in strengthening the State’s law enforcement system. Addressing the newly recruited personnel at a programme held in Amaravati, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that 23,676 police jobs had been provided during the NDA government’s tenure so far.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to its promise of creating 20 lakh jobs and said recruitment across various departments was being taken up in a phased and transparent manner. He also announced that the monthly stipend for police constables undergoing training had been increased to ₹12,500, providing financial support during the initial phase of service.
Mr. Naidu emphasised the importance of discipline, integrity and public service in policing, urging the recruits to work with dedication to maintain law and order. Senior officials and family members of the recruits attended the programme, which marked the beginning of their service to the State.
