Hyderabad: ACB raids Hyderabad Water Board GM Kumar created a stir in the city on Tuesday after Anti-Corruption Bureau officials carried out searches at several locations linked to the official. The operation began early in the morning at his residence in Mallapur and other properties connected to him.

The ACB raids Hyderabad Water Board GM Kumar were launched after allegations that he possessed assets far beyond his known sources of income. Special teams searched around eight locations linked to Kumar and his relatives in Hyderabad and nearby areas.

During the raids, officials recovered more than ₹1 crore in cash along with gold and silver ornaments. Investigators also seized several property documents for verification.

Preliminary findings suggest the officer may own assets worth nearly ₹100 crore. These include flats in Hyderabad, open plots on the outskirts of the city, and agricultural land in Nizamabad district.

ACB officials said the searches and verification of documents are still in progress. Authorities will reveal more details after the investigation is completed.
