The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Agartala Regional Office conducted an interactive session on the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), bringing together employers, payroll managers, and key stakeholders to enhance awareness about the newly launched employment-linked incentive scheme. The programme, held at Manikya Enclave in Agartala, aimed at promoting the benefits of the scheme and encouraging establishments across Tripura to participate actively in boosting formal employment.

During the session, EPFO officials explained the provisions of PM-VBRY, which seeks to generate large-scale job opportunities while extending significant financial support to both employees and employers. Under the scheme, first-time EPFO-registered employees are eligible for incentives up to ₹15,000 in two instalments, while employers can receive a monthly incentive of up to ₹3,000 per new hire for a period defined under scheme guidelines.

Officials demonstrated how establishments can register on the EPFO portal, file Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR), and verify employee eligibility. Participants were also briefed about Aadhaar-linked Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanisms, mandatory KYC requirements, and the importance of compliance for seamless claim processing.

The session included a Q&A segment where employers raised queries on documentation, salary thresholds, and ESI/EPF overlap scenarios. EPFO assured stakeholders of continuous handholding through helpdesks and outreach programmes planned across Tripura in the coming months.

The interactive meet reflects EPFO’s ongoing efforts to expand awareness and ensure wider adoption of the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, which aims to strengthen India’s workforce ecosystem and accelerate formal job creation. With growing participation from establishments in Tripura, the initiative is expected to provide significant employment opportunities to youth and first-time job seekers in the region.
