AIMIM has raised questions about Muslim representation in Bihar politics. The party, led by Asaduddin Owaisi, criticized the grand alliance for ignoring Muslim voters. AIMIM leader Shaukat Ali mocked the decision to name RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav as Chief Minister and VIP leader Mukesh Sahni as Deputy CM. He said, “If a party with 2% votes gets the Deputy CM post and one with 13% gets the CM post, will 18% get the Carpet Minister post?”
Ali referred to Bihar’s 17.7% Muslim population. In 11 constituencies, Muslims make up 40% of voters. He claimed Muslims are told to remain silent with warnings like, “Abdul, stay quiet or BJP will come.” AIMIM said such fear is used to keep Muslims away from leadership.
The party stressed that Muslim voters influence 47 assembly seats. AIMIM wants equal political voice for all communities and fair representation in decision-making roles.
