Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan moved the Delhi High Court, alleging misuse of her photos, videos, and voice without consent. The court responded with a strong ruling on September 11, protecting her personal and publicity rights.

The High Court said no platform or person can use her name, likeness, or voice without approval. It noted that websites and digital platforms had circulated fake and obscene content, including AI-generated deepfakes, damaging her reputation.

The court issued a temporary injunction and directed platforms to remove all unauthorized content within 72 hours. It also ruled that deepfake or AI-created content without consent is unlawful. The order will remain valid until January 15, 2026, giving the actress time-bound legal protection.

This ruling provided Aishwarya Rai major relief after weeks of viral fake content online. With the judgment, she secured legal backing to defend her identity and ensure stricter checks on online misuse. The case is seen as a landmark step against digital impersonation and abuse in India.
