Alcaraz Leads Star-Studded Indian Wells Draw

Indian Wells Open draw featuring Alcaraz, Djokovic and Sinner

Top seed Carlos Alcaraz will begin his campaign at the Indian Wells Open against either Grigor Dimitrov or Terence Atmane. The tournament marks the season’s first ATP Masters 1000 event. Alcaraz dominated Dimitrov in California last year. However, Dimitrov has delivered strong performances here in recent seasons. Atmane enters the main draw after impressive progress on tour.

Five-time champion Novak Djokovic stands in Alcaraz’s half of the draw. Djokovic shares the tournament record with Roger Federer for most titles. He will face Kamil Majchrzak or Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in his opening match. The Serbian seeks a strong comeback after last year’s early exit.

Seventh seed Taylor Fritz also features in Djokovic’s quarter. He opens against Damir Dzumhur or Jacob Fearnley. Meanwhile, second seed Jannik Sinner aims for his first Indian Wells title. He starts against James Duckworth or a qualifier.

Sinner shares his quarter with eighth seed Ben Shelton. The Italian could meet Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Denis Shapovalov, or Stefanos Tsitsipas later. Sinner reached back-to-back semifinals here, losing both times to Alcaraz.
