Amaravati Land Issues Being Resolved in Phases, Says Pemmasani
Union Minister of State for Rural Development Pemmasani Chandrasekhar on Friday said that land-related issues in the Amaravati capital region were being resolved in a phased and systematic manner. Addressing concerns raised by landowners and farmers, he said the government was committed to ensuring justice to all genuine beneficiaries while maintaining transparency in the process.
The Minister stated that a committee constituted to examine the issue of jaribu lands had submitted a detailed report, which would serve as the basis for future decisions. The report, he said, would help identify rightful beneficiaries and prevent misuse or wrongful claims. Pemmasani assured that no eligible farmer would be denied benefits and that corrective measures were being taken wherever anomalies were found.
He added that resolving land disputes was crucial for the planned development of Amaravati as the State capital and for restoring confidence among farmers who had parted with their lands. The government, he said, was balancing development needs with the interests of affected landowners through a consultative approach.
