Union Home Minister Amit Shah Highlights BSF Achievements while addressing the 61st Foundation Day of the Border Security Force (BSF) at the 176th Battalion Campus in Bhuj. Amit Shah Highlights BSF Achievements in Naxal-affected regions and said that the government aims to eliminate Naxalism completely by March 31, 2026.
He noted that the BSF continues to deliver strong results on multiple security fronts. Shah said the force helped secure the Tirupati corridor and successfully pushed the Naxal network back. He shared that BSF teams surrendered 127 Maoists, arrested 73, and neutralised 22 involved in violent activities. He added that teams also intercepted large quantities of narcotics during recent operations.
Shah strongly defended the SIR process and told citizens that it plays a key role in protecting India’s democracy. He criticised political parties that oppose the initiative and said the government remains firm on removing infiltrators from the country.
He recalled the bravery of BSF and the Army during Operation Sindoor, which led Pakistan to announce a ceasefire. Shah said India’s forces destroyed multiple hideouts and training facilities of major terror groups and reinforced national security.
