Union Home Minister Amit Shah became emotional while remembering the martyrdom of the Chotte Sahibzade during a Veer Bal Diwas event in Panchkula, Haryana. He said the supreme sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s younger sons continues to inspire generations of Indian youth.
Recalling Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s historic words, Amit Shah said, “Chaar muey toh kya hua, jeevat kai hazaar,” meaning the sacrifice of four sons awakened thousands to stand for faith and righteousness. He stressed that these words still resonate strongly in today’s India.
Shah said Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh showed unmatched courage at a very young age. They faced threats and temptations but refused to abandon their faith. He added that such bravery can only come from the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who lived and sacrificed for dharma.
The Home Minister urged young Indians to draw inspiration from the Sahibzades’ lives. He said their martyrdom teaches fearlessness, commitment to values, and readiness to stand against injustice.
Amit Shah also paid tribute to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, calling him a symbol of eternal courage. He said the Guru never accepted defeat and continued to fight for truth until his last breath. The event highlighted the enduring spiritual and moral strength of Sikh history.
