AP Constables Get Big Stipend Hike

AP Constable Stipend Hike announced as Andhra Pradesh government raises trainee police allowance to ₹12,500 during training.

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a major relief for trainee constables. A significant increase in the training stipend was declared by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The announcement was made during the appointment letter distribution programme. The event was held at the AP Special Police 6th Battalion Parade Ground in Mangalagiri on Tuesday.

Until now, a stipend of ₹4,500 was provided during training. This amount has now been increased to ₹12,500. The decision was described as part of wider reforms. Priority has been given to strengthening law and order across the state. No compromise will be made on public safety, it was stated.

The responsibility of enhancing the dignity of the police force has been taken up by the government. In return, protection of citizens has been urged from the police personnel. Commitment to duty and discipline was highlighted during the address. Strong policing was linked to public trust and safety.

A total of 6,100 constable posts were notified by the state government. From these, 6,014 candidates were selected. Out of them, 5,757 trainees have joined training. The batch includes 3,343 civil constables and 2,414 APSP constables. Training has already been commenced.
