The Ashok Choudhary money allegation has triggered fresh political tension in Bihar. RJD MLC Sunil Singh alleged that minister Ashok Choudhary paid ₹5 crore each to two or three people to influence the BISCOMAUN election.
Singh claimed that Choudhary made the payments from his residence to secure control over the cooperative body. He raised the issue during discussions around the recent election results.
The BISCOMAUN election saw a tough contest between rival groups. Singh said his panel performed strongly and won several seats. However, he alleged that money power changed the final outcome.
He also questioned the role of Choudhary’s family members in the cooperative setup.
So far, Ashok Choudhary has not issued a public response to the Ashok Choudhary money allegation. The controversy has added heat to Bihar’s political atmosphere.
