Former minister Gudivada Amarnath condemned Balakrishna as “ill-mannered,” alleging that he made remarks under the influence of alcohol and insulted Chiranjeevi by comparing himself to the veteran actor. Amarnath asserted that Chiranjeevi earned his place in the film industry through talent and hard work, while Balakrishna relied on family legacy.
He further recalled that former CM Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy once saved Balakrishna during a firing incident and that CM Y.S. Jagan supported higher ticket rates for his films. Calling Balakrishna “untrustworthy” and “psycho,” Amarnath demanded that people with such behavior should not be allowed to contest elections.
He added that Chiranjeevi’s clarification exposed Balakrishna’s statements as false and awaited Jana Sena’s response to the remarks.
