The hearing on the Bandi Bhagirath custody petition has been postponed by the Malkajgiri POCSO Special Court till May 26. Police had requested custody of Bandi Bhagirath for further investigation in the POCSO case.
The Bandi Bhagirath custody petition was filed after police sought permission to question him in detail over allegations involving a minor girl. Bhagirath is currently in judicial remand in connection with the case.
According to investigators, the case includes allegations of sexual harassment and threats to share photos on social media. Police registered the case under serious sections of the POCSO Act after receiving a complaint from the victim’s family.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court decided to continue the hearing on May 26. The next hearing is expected to decide whether police will get custody for further questioning.
