Baramati plane crash: Probe being conducted on timeline-based approach, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said on Friday. He said investigators are closely examining each stage of the incident to understand how events unfolded and how the response progressed.

Speaking in Hyderabad, the Minister said the inquiry focuses on the exact sequence of events, from the crash to rescue efforts. Officials are reviewing response times, communication flow, and safety procedures followed during the incident.

Responding to questions about the absence of firefighting personnel at the site, the Minister said the Baramati airstrip is mainly used by flying training organisations. He explained that such airstrips usually operate with limited infrastructure compared to commercial airports.

He said authorities are assessing whether existing safety arrangements were adequate for training operations. The findings will help decide if additional safety measures are required at similar airstrips across the country.

The Minister added that aviation safety remains a top priority for the government. Any gaps identified during the probe will be addressed through policy changes and stricter guidelines.

Officials said the investigation is progressing as per standard aviation protocols. A detailed report is expected after technical analysis and stakeholder consultations.
