Congress leader and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi today. The meeting focused on the state’s financial situation, loan requirements, and urgent support for farmers and institutions. Vikramarka requested financial assistance for newly established educational institutions in the state. A formal representation was submitted to the Finance Minister, seeking central government support to strengthen infrastructure and development. He was joined by senior leaders including Tummala Nageswara Rao. Together, they explained how farmers face hardships due to cheaper imports affecting local markets. They pressed the case for urgent intervention to stabilize the agricultural sector and protect farmer incomes.
Later in the day, Bhatti Vikramarka is expected to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. During this meeting, he plans to present details about the recent heavy rains and floods that caused extensive damage in the state, while also seeking compensation from the central government.
