Congress leader and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi today. The meeting focused on the state’s financial situation, loan requirements, and urgent support for farmers and institutions. The Bhatti Vikramarka Meets Nirmala Sitharaman discussion also highlighted the impact of reduced import duties on palm oil, which farmers in the state claim has caused serious losses.

Vikramarka requested financial assistance for newly established educational institutions in the state. A formal representation was submitted to the Finance Minister, seeking central government support to strengthen infrastructure and development. Later in the day, Bhatti Vikramarka is expected to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. During this meeting, he plans to present details about the recent heavy rains and floods that caused extensive damage in the state, while also seeking compensation from the central government.
