Andhra Prepares for Massive Bhavani Deeksha Rush

Bhavani Deeksha Arrangements reviewed in Vijayawada as six lakh devotees expected for rituals at Kanaka Durga Temple.

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha reviewed the arrangements at the Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada ahead of the Bhavani Deeksha relinquishment rituals. She said that all plans were being made to ensure smooth darshan for devotees visiting the temple after removing their holy mala. Officials were directed to maintain crowd flow without inconvenience.

The relinquishment of Bhavani Deeksha will begin on December 11 and continue until December 15. Around six lakh devotees are expected during this period. Devotees will complete a nine-kilometre Giripradakshina around Indrakeeladri Hill before offering prayers to Goddess Durga. Due to heavy crowds, VIP and VVIP darshan have been cancelled.

Special safety measures are being arranged for children, and scanner tags will be placed on their hands to avoid missing cases. The temple officials have prepared sixty lakh laddus to meet prasadam demand during the rush. Adequate food supplies are being arranged for daily annadanam, ensuring no shortage.

The minister stated that all departments were working together to manage the large inflow of devotees. Police deployment, queue lines, drinking water points, and medical services are being prepared. She assured that devotees would experience safe, organised, and uninterrupted temple services during the Deeksha completion days.
