Bhullar Honours Mayank Foundation in recognition of its strong grassroots work on road safety awareness in Punjab. The Punjab Government presented the honour during the state-level launch of National Road Safety Month in Chandigarh.
Bhullar Honours Mayank Foundation for its consistent and impactful efforts in saving lives through public awareness. Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar handed over the award to Deepak Sharma, who represented the Mayank Foundation, Ferozepur. The event was organised by the Lead Agency on Road Safety under the state’s Transport Department.
Meanwhile, senior officials praised the foundation’s long-term contribution. The Director General of the Lead Agency and the DGP Traffic, Punjab, highlighted its role in supporting government-led safety initiatives. Notably, the Mayank Foundation serves as an empanelled NGO with the Lead Agency on Road Safety.
This recognition aligns with the nationwide observance of National Road Safety Month in January. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways marks the month under the theme “Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha.”
Since 2018, the Mayank Foundation has worked actively to promote responsible road behaviour. Over the years, it has organised awareness seminars, eye check-up camps, helmet distribution drives, and reflector pasting campaigns. As a result, the organisation has reached thousands of road users across the region.
The foundation said the honour strengthens its resolve to build safer roads and protect human lives.
