Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, officials have launched a special Mascot Contest to boost voter awareness and participation. The Chief Electoral Officer and District Election Office are organizing this competition to design an eye-catching mascot. The last date for entries is September 20.
Deputy Director and District Public Relations Officer Lokesh Kumar Jha said a creative mascot will be prepared this time for the elections. The top three winners will receive cash prizes of ₹25,000, ₹15,000, and ₹10,000.
The contest is part of the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) campaign, which aims to attract and motivate voters using creative methods.
Participants can design a cartoon character, digital artwork, colorful drawing, or any unique symbol. The contest is open to people of all age groups, making it inclusive and participatory.
The Election Commission believes this initiative will inspire citizens, especially the youth, to connect with the democratic process. By blending creativity with awareness, the Mascot Contest hopes to increase voter turnout and make the Bihar Assembly elections more vibrant and engaging for everyone.
