The BJP election committee met in Patna to decide candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The key phrase “BJP Bihar election committee meeting” dominated discussions as leaders debated over seats lost in the last poll. Chaired by Dharmendra Pradhan and co-chaired by Keshav Prasad, the meeting reviewed 125 constituencies. Each seat saw three potential candidates under consideration, whose names will be sent to the party’s parliamentary board for the final decision.
BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal said the committee discussed the performance of current MLAs and feedback from district units. The party aims to field strong contenders in every constituency. The BJP Bihar election committee meeting also touched upon seat-sharing plans with NDA allies. The BJP, which contested 110 seats in 2020 and holds 80 MLAs now, plans to regain lost ground through stronger local candidates and strategic seat allocation.
