The Bihar CO and Revenue Staff Strike has affected several land-related services across the state. To prevent inconvenience to citizens, the Bihar government announced temporary administrative arrangements. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha said authorities are ensuring that public services continue despite the strike.
During the Bihar CO and Revenue Staff Strike, officials responsible for land records and revenue work stopped working, which disrupted services like land mutation, measurement, and other related processes in many districts.
To manage the situation, the government assigned additional responsibilities. Block Development Officers (BDOs) will handle the work usually done by Circle Officers where necessary. Panchayat secretaries may also manage some tasks normally handled by revenue staff.
Sinha said March is an important month for land-related applications, so officials received instructions to keep services running smoothly. The government also asked districts to report staff attendance and review affected work.
Authorities have urged striking employees to return to duty and resolve their demands through discussions.
