The Bihar crop compensation scheme has been launched to support farmers whose crops were damaged by Cyclone Montha. This Bihar crop compensation scheme covers 12 districts where paddy and other Kharif crops suffered heavy losses. The Agriculture Department confirmed that more than 33% damage occurred in 397 panchayats across 39 blocks.
The state government is offering financial assistance through the Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme. Farmers must apply online before December 2. The relief amount goes directly to their bank account through DBT.

The benefit is available for up to 2 hectares. Minimum support is ₹1,000 for non-irrigated crops, ₹2,000 for irrigated crops and ₹2,500 for perennial crops. Small and marginal farmers will also be covered.
