“Bihar First, Biharis First”: Chirag Paswan, Leaders Hail NDA’s New Government Under Nitish Kumar

NDA leaders celebrated the formation of the new Bihar government as Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for a record 10th time at Gandhi Maidan in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan called it a “big responsibility” and pledged to prioritise “Bihar first and Biharis first,” guided by PM Modi and Nitish Kumar. His mother, Reena Paswan, termed the moment “historic.”

New ministers from the BJP, JD(U), LJP(RV) and allies expressed gratitude, promising to work towards a “Viksit Bihar.” Leaders including Leshi Singh, Shrawon Kumar, Ram Kripal Yadav and Nitin Nabin vowed to fulfil public commitments. Senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh made a political statement asserting that after Bihar’s victory, Bengal would be next.

Chief Ministers Pushkar Singh Dhami, Himanta Biswa Sarma and Mohan Yadav congratulated Nitish Kumar, calling the mandate a vote for development. Massive public turnout, especially of women, was highlighted by leaders as evidence of growing trust in the NDA.
