The Marwar Festival in Sambalpur, Odisha, showcased strong cultural ties between Rajasthan and Odisha. The event brought together leaders, artists, and members of the Marwari community.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma attended the festival. Speakers highlighted the Marwari community’s service spirit and its contribution to host states.
Om Birla praised the Marwari society for balancing commitment to work with loyalty to their homeland. He said the community continues to support education, healthcare, and relief efforts during crises. Birla also appreciated initiatives that connect migrant Rajasthani families with their roots.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma urged migrants to stay connected to their soil and traditions. He said the Marwari community spreads Rajasthan’s cultural values across the world. Sharma noted that Rajasthan celebrates Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas to strengthen bonds with migrants. He added that Rajasthan Foundation now has 40 chapters worldwide.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said such festivals strengthen cultural and economic cooperation. He added that investment opportunities are growing under the vision of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.”
The Marwar Festival emerged as a platform for unity, heritage, and shared development between states.
