Nitish Model Continues in Bihar as the new government revives the popular Janata Darbar program. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has restarted the public grievance system at his official residence in Patna. The move signals that the governance approach started by Nitish Kumar will continue under the new leadership.
On Friday, people from different districts reached the chief minister’s residence at 5 Deshratna Marg with written complaints. Officials arranged an offline hearing where the chief minister listened to citizens and directed authorities to resolve their problems quickly.
The Janata Darbar program first began in 2006 when Nitish Kumar was chief minister. It allowed citizens to directly present their issues to the government. The initiative continued for several years before slowing down. Samrat Choudhary has now revived the system, showing that Nitish Model Continues in Bihar even after the leadership change.
The government says the program will improve accountability and speed up solutions for public grievances.
