The Bihar government formation talks have entered a tense and important stage. Senior NDA leaders continue to meet in Patna and Delhi as they work on shaping the new cabinet. The Bihar government formation talks show that Nitish Kumar will stay as Chief Minister, but the BJP wants a stronger share in ministries because of its big seat victory.
The BJP won 89 seats, the highest in its history in Bihar. This gives the party a clear edge during discussions. Sources say the BJP may get 15–16 ministerial posts, while the JDU may receive 14–15. All NDA partners agree that Nitish Kumar will remain CM and a BJP leader will become Deputy CM.
Meetings are happening with leaders like Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi. Their families may also get ministerial posts. The BJP is also eyeing key ministries such as Home, Finance, and Public Works.
Names for Deputy CM include Samrat Chaudhary and a Rajput leader discussed in place of Vijay Sinha. Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan wants the Deputy CM post too, but the BJP may not support that demand. His party could still get three to four ministries. Final decisions may come after the next round of NDA meetings.
