RJD leaders claimed that all three nominees have strong political family backgrounds. They argued that the NDA ignored grassroots workers and instead picked leaders linked to established political families.
The BJP has fielded Nitin Nabin and Shivesh Ram, while Upendra Kushwaha represents an NDA ally. The opposition says these choices contradict the NDA’s public stand against “parivarvad.”
RJD leaders also questioned why young and independent leaders did not get a chance. They said the alliance should focus on performance and public service instead of political lineage.
The debate has intensified as Bihar prepares for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
