A midnight tragedy in Jamui, Bihar, shattered a poor family when the roof of their mud house collapsed. Two children were buried alive and died instantly.
The victims were Kishan, a 2-year-old boy, and his 6-year-old sister Tulsi. Their mother, Sulekha, was sleeping beside them when the roof suddenly gave way. The family had long waited for a house under the PM Housing Scheme, but tragedy struck before their hope could be fulfilled.
The heartbreaking scene shook the entire village. The three sisters of the deceased cried bitterly as they saw the lifeless bodies of their siblings. Neighbors who rushed to console the family were also moved to tears.
The family had faced earlier sorrow with the birth of four daughters. The arrival of little Kishan had filled their home with joy and hope. His laughter had become the heart of the family. But destiny turned cruel, and their happiness ended in deep mourning.
On that Saturday night, while the family dreamed of a safer future, tragedy stole it all. The house once filled with children’s voices now stands silent in grief.
