Bihar Jobs news brings good opportunities for job seekers as the state government plans a large recruitment drive in higher education. Under this plan, Bihar Jobs will include the hiring of 9,196 teachers and staff for newly established degree colleges across the state.
The Higher Education Department has proposed recruitment for 209 new degree colleges. The plan includes 209 principals, 6,479 assistant professors, and 2,508 non-teaching staff such as clerks, lab assistants, and computer operators.
The department has already sent the proposal to the Finance Department for approval. After review by the administrative committee and the law department, the proposal will go to the state cabinet. Recruitment will begin once the cabinet approves it.
Each college will have teachers for 15 subjects in arts, science, and commerce. Initially, six arts subjects—history, geography, political science, sociology, Hindi, and English—will start from the 2026–30 academic session.
Officials say these colleges will improve access to higher education and increase Bihar’s gross enrollment ratio, which currently stands at about 17 percent.
