Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said the revenue and land reforms department will train experts in Kaithi script. These experts will help translate old documents at affordable costs. This step will reduce disputes and speed up land-related services.
Several districts still use Kaithi-written documents like khatiyan, land receipts, and settlement papers. Due to this, people often visit offices repeatedly and face legal confusion.
Officials believe the new system will bring transparency and trust. It will also reduce the workload of revenue staff and make services easier for citizens.
The initiative aims to modernize record handling while preserving historical documents. The government expects smoother land surveys and faster case resolution after implementation.
