The Bihar Mahagathbandhan candidate list for the 2025 elections is out. Before the final seat-sharing announcement, almost all parties revealed their candidates. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD leads the alliance with 143 candidates. Congress follows with 60 names, while CPI(ML) has 20, VIP 11, CPI 6, and CPM 4 seats. From Saharsa, IP Gupta, chief of the Indian Inclusive Party, has also filed his nomination as a Mahagathbandhan candidate. He says his party is contesting on 3 seats within the alliance.
The Mahagathbandhan aims to strengthen its position across Bihar by balancing regional and national parties under one umbrella. This united front hopes to give a strong challenge to the NDA in the upcoming polls.
