Bihar Meat Sale Rules: Ban on Illegal Construction and Meat Shops Planned

Bihar meat sale rules enforcement on meat shops and construction ban in Patna

PATNA: Bihar meat sale rules have become stricter as Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha announced a new master plan to regulate construction and meat sales across the state. Bihar meat sale rules aim to improve hygiene, maintain public order, and ensure proper licensing.

Sinha said no construction will be allowed without official permission. Authorities will take action against illegal buildings. He also confirmed that selling meat without a valid licence will not be allowed under the new policy.

The government plans to stop open sale of meat near schools, religious places, and crowded areas. Officials say this step will protect public health and maintain social harmony.

Municipal bodies will check shops and issue licences only to those who follow hygiene rules. Illegal shops may face closure or penalties.

Sinha clarified that the government is not against food choices but wants proper regulation. The master plan focuses on cleaner cities and better urban management across Bihar.
