Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal confirmed that NDA MLAs will meet on November 19th. The meeting will select the next leader of the alliance. Reports say Nitish Kumar will take oath as Chief Minister on November 20th. This will be his seventh time as CM. Before that, he will submit his resignation on November 19th. The 17th Bihar Legislative Assembly will end on the same day.
Nitish Kumar chaired the last meeting of the current Cabinet on Monday. The Cabinet approved three proposals in just 15 minutes. After that, Nitish Kumar went to Raj Bhavan and submitted the recommendations to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.
Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and Minister Vijay Chaudhary joined him at Raj Bhavan. The meeting lasted around 22 minutes. Later, Nitish Kumar returned to his residence at 1, Anne Marg, where he met senior NDA leaders to prepare for the transition.
Vijay Chaudhary told reporters that the Cabinet supported dissolving the Assembly on November 19th and sent the recommendation to the Governor.
