Bihar RJD expels 27 leaders ahead of elections

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has taken a bold step before the Bihar elections. The Bihar RJD expels 27 leaders, including former MLAs, MLCs, and district officials, for anti-party work. State RJD president Mangani Lal Mandal confirmed this in a letter. He said these leaders are either contesting independently or helping rival alliance candidates.

The Bihar RJD expels 27 leaders such as Chhote Lal Yadav from Parsa, Mohammad Kamran from Govindpur, and Ritu Jaiswal from Parihar. Others include Anil Sahni from Muzaffarpur and Ram Prakash Mahato from Katihar. Party members from Bhagalpur, East Champaran, and Motihari are also on the list.

This decision shows RJD’s strict stand on loyalty and discipline. The expelled leaders will remain outside the party for six years. Lalu Prasad Yadav wants to keep his team united and focused during the election campaign.

The move strengthens RJD’s control and sends a message that party rules apply to everyone, no matter their rank.
