Bihar Seat-Sharing Drama: NDA and INDIA Alliances in Turmoil

Bihar seat-sharing issue in NDA and INDIA alliances

Seat-sharing talks in Bihar have turned chaotic ahead of the elections. The Bihar seat-sharing issue has caused tension in both NDA and INDIA alliances. LJP (R) chief Chirag Paswan and HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi voiced anger over fewer seats. Chirag demanded 40 seats for his party, recalling his father Ram Vilas Paswan’s ideals. In contrast, Manjhi declared loyalty to the NDA even with fewer than 15 seats, saying he would not contest but support Prime Minister Modi.

Within the NDA, BJP and JDU are negotiating with smaller allies like RLSP and LJP, but no final deal has been reached. On the other side, the Grand Alliance faces its own crisis. RJD, Congress, and Left parties are struggling to agree on seat numbers. CPI(ML) wants 40 seats, while VIP chief Mukesh Sahni demands 60 and the post of Deputy Chief Minister.

This Bihar seat-sharing issue has delayed final announcements, keeping the political battle wide open.
