The Bihar Sharif bulldozer action created tension in the busy market area on Tuesday. The Municipal Corporation team reached Bhaisasure Chowk on Ranchi Road to clear illegal encroachments. The Bihar Sharif bulldozer action surprised traders because many ignored earlier warnings from officials.
The drive began early in the morning. Officials first checked roadside encroachments and then used bulldozers to remove illegal stalls and extended platforms. The sudden entry of machines created panic, and many shopkeepers quickly packed their goods. Some traders tried to protect their items, but officials moved forward with support from police forces.
The team removed illegal boards, counters, and goods placed on the main road. Officers also fined shopkeepers who violated earlier notices. The Deputy Municipal Commissioner said that clearing the roads is important to reduce traffic jams and daily inconvenience. He also stated that strict action will continue to keep the city encroachment-free.
Local residents supported the Municipal Corporation. They said Ranchi Road faces heavy traffic every day and such action will help improve the flow of vehicles. Many people believe that regular encroachment drives will keep the city clean, reduce congestion, and improve Bihar Sharif’s overall image.
