Hyderabad: BJP Telangana state president G. Ramchander Rao alleged that Hindus are facing insecurity and religious discrimination in the Jubilee Hills constituency. Speaking at a meeting with party leaders at the Nampally BJP office on Friday, he criticized the state government for allocating two acres of land in Erragadda for a crematorium amid residential areas, calling the move insensitive and controversial.
Rao also accused the government of demolishing temples and turning a blind eye to attacks on Hindu devotees, questioning the silence of ruling leaders on such issues. He asserted that only the BJP can ensure real development and protection of religious rights in Telangana.
The remarks come amid rising political tension ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-election, with the BJP seeking to consolidate Hindu votes by highlighting alleged instances of discrimination and neglect under the Congress-led administration.
