The first phase of the Bihar Election 2025 will be held on November 6 across 121 assembly constituencies in 18 districts. Campaigning has ended, setting the stage for a major political battle. The main contest is between the BJP and RJD on 25 seats, while the NDA and Grand Alliance (MGB) are clashing across several others.
The Bihar Election 2025 also sees BJP facing Congress on 12 seats and JDU against RJD on 34 seats. JDU and Congress will compete on 11 seats. Due to the cancellation of one JDU VIP symbol in Kusheshwarsthan, an independent candidate joins the fray. LJP (Ram Vilas) is contesting on 14 seats, RJD on 12, and RLMO on two. CPI-ML is contesting on multiple seats from BJP, JDU, and LJP-R.
Interestingly, a friendly fight within the Grand Alliance is taking place on five seats — Vaishali, Bachhwara, Rajapakar, Biharsharif, and Beldaur. Congress, RJD, CPI, and IIP candidates are competing among allies, adding flavor to the poll. With voting scheduled from 7 am to 6 pm, this first phase will test the strength of every alliance in Bihar.
