The bomb blast threat to Patna Civil Court and Begusarai Court was reportedly sent through email early in the morning. After reading the message, court officials informed the police and stopped court work as a safety measure.
Police teams soon reached the courts. Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs checked the entire premises. Security officers searched courtrooms, offices, and nearby areas to make sure everything was safe.
Lawyers, court staff, and visitors were asked to leave the buildings during the inspection. Security remained tight until the search operation ended.
Officials later said they did not find any explosives. Police have started an investigation to identify the person who sent the threatening email and to understand the motive behind it.
