The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a unique protest against the ongoing fertilizer shortage across Telangana. Led by Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), BRS MLAs and MLCs gathered at Gun Park near the Amaraveerula Stupa in Hyderabad, holding empty urea bags to highlight the crisis faced by farmers.
During the demonstration, the leaders raised slogans saying, “ Ganpati Bappa Moria… Kaavalayya Urea !” emphasizing the urgent need for immediate urea supply. The protest aimed to draw attention to the difficulties that farmers are facing due to delayed fertilizer availability, which is affecting agricultural productivity in the state.
KTR and other BRS leaders demanded that the government ensure uninterrupted urea supply to farmers without further delay . They warned that if the Congress government failed to address this critical issue promptly, it would face severe backlash. The protest symbolically conveyed the farmers’ plight and called for swift government action to avert further agricultural distress in Telangana .
