Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said the Central Government will soon take a decision on the Phase-2 expansion of the Hyderabad Metro, once the Telangana Government submits complete and detailed proposals.
Speaking at the National Real Estate Development Council’s (NAREDCO) Property Show and Awards event held in Hitech City on Monday, Kishan Reddy clarified that issues surrounding L&T’s withdrawal from the Metro’s operation and management and the state’s proposed takeover plan have been resolved.
He emphasized that the Centre remains committed to supporting urban transport and infrastructure projects that can reduce traffic congestion and boost real estate growth. The minister urged the Telangana Government to act swiftly so that the Metro Phase-2 project, expected to significantly benefit commuters and investors alike, can move forward without further delay.
