In Chandigarh’s Manimajra locality, the police Samavesh team carried out a comprehensive awareness program at GMHS Pocket-1, focusing on self-defence, cyber safety, and drug abuse prevention. Conducted under the guidance of the area SHO, the session aimed to educate schoolchildren on emerging risks affecting young people.

During the program, officers demonstrated practical self-defence techniques, ensuring students understood how to protect themselves in unsafe situations. The team also highlighted the harmful consequences of drug abuse, urging children to stay away from addictive substances that threaten their health and future.

A major part of the interaction centered on cybercrime awareness, where students were warned about the dangers associated with social media misuse, online gaming, and sharing personal information on the internet. Police officials emphasized the importance of reporting suspicious online behavior and seeking parental guidance.

The session saw active participation from around 250 students and teachers, with many children engaging the officers with questions related to online safety and personal protection. The initiative aimed to strengthen student awareness and build safer habits among young learners.
