Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced major welfare measures for the state’s minority communities. He declared that each mosque in Andhra Pradesh will receive ₹5,000 per month. The announcement came during the Minority Welfare Day celebrations held on Tuesday.
Naidu also promised free education for all minority girls up to the intermediate level. Addressing the gathering, he said his government is fully committed to the upliftment of minority communities. He further assured that the pending salaries of Imams and Muezzins will be cleared immediately.
The Chief Minister added that the Waqf properties will be safeguarded under the revised Waqf Board Act. He emphasized that these assets will be managed and protected by the minority community itself. Naidu said that all Waqf assets will be digitized for transparency and public access.
He reassured minorities that his government stands by them in every difficulty. Naidu urged the Muslim community not to worry, promising full support from the Andhra Pradesh government in welfare and protection initiatives.
