Chapra hooch tragedy suspected poisonous liquor incident in Saran district Bihar

Chapra hooch tragedy has created panic in Bihar’s Saran district after two people died within 24 hours and several others fell seriously ill. The incident took place in the Panapur police station area of Chapra.

The Chapra hooch tragedy came to light after a 50-year-old man from Dhenuki village suddenly fell ill on Wednesday night. His family rushed him to a private doctor in Panapur market, where he died during treatment. His relatives later performed the cremation quietly.

Another man from Dubouli village also became seriously ill the next morning. His family took him to Patna for treatment, but he died later that day. Family members claimed that poisonous liquor caused the death.

Meanwhile, several people from nearby villages such as Dhenuki, Dubouli, and Khajouli have reportedly fallen sick. Around five people are said to have lost their eyesight and are receiving treatment secretly at different locations. Authorities have started an investigation, but officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause.
