The Chhapra teacher murder has shocked the Saran district of Bihar. A 45-year-old teacher, Sanoj Kumar, was returning home from school on his bike when two men on a motorcycle followed him. They shot him in the head from behind near the Devi Sthan area of Kharika Bazaar. The Chhapra teacher murder has created fear among locals and raised questions about safety.
Sanoj worked at a primary school, and his wife also teaches at the same school. He was seriously injured after the attack. Locals rushed him to Sonpur for treatment. Doctors later referred him to Hajipur Sadar Hospital, where he was declared dead. Police say the murder may be linked to an old dispute, but the exact reason is still under investigation.
Police recovered a spent cartridge and his bike from the scene. Station Officer Anuradha Kumari inspected the area and spoke to nearby residents to gather clues.
Sanoj was the son of retired railway employee Panna Lal and lived in Kharika village. His body was sent to Chapra Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. After hearing the news, the entire village went into mourning. His parents, wife, children, and other family members were heartbroken and inconsolable.
