CM Revanth Reddy Accuses BJP of Divide-and-Rule, Calls for United Democratic Front
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of following a divide-and-rule policy aimed at weakening democratic institutions and polarising society for political gain. Speaking at a public event, he alleged that the BJP was deliberately creating divisions along social, regional, and communal lines to consolidate its power.
The Chief Minister urged all democratic forces, including the Congress, Communist Party of India (CPI), and like-minded organisations, to come together in a united front to protect the principles of democracy and ensure governance remains inclusive and people-centric. He stressed that the challenges facing Indian democracy required a coordinated response from opposition parties to safeguard constitutional values and social harmony.
Highlighting recent political developments, Revanth emphasised that collaboration among democratic parties was crucial to countering authoritarian tendencies and preserving the democratic fabric of the nation.
